RICHARDS LAUNCHES I’M NOT SLOWING DOWN WITH NEW YORK, NY - July 1, 2003 - Tex and the City, LLC and Jean-Luc Restaurant will team up with former Texas Governor Ann Richards at a reception from 6:00pm to 8:00pm on Tuesday, August 12th, to launch her new book entitled I’m Not Slowing Down. In 1994, Ann Richards was diagnosed with an early stage of osteoporosis. After witnessing both of her grandmothers and her mother fall victim to the disease, Richards was determined to overcome its debilitating effects. In I’m Not Slowing Down, Richards, known for her spirited straight talk, and Richard U. Levine, M.D., share her struggles with osteoporosis in an inspirational, eye-opening, medically definitive story that will help other women triumph over this incapacitating disease. “There was never any doubt in my mind that if I went after osteoporosis, I could control it and lead a healthy life. That’s my message to other women: No one can do this for you-you’ve got to do it for yourself.
