TEX IN THE CITY TO HOST TALK BACK AND STAGED READING
OF powerless BY AUTHOR MARLI GUZZETTA AT RED

NEW YORK, NY – February 17, 2004 – Tex in the City, LLC, announces Marli Guzzetta as the featured artist in its third installment of the 4:Your Consideration Art Series on Tuesday, March 2 at RED on West 44th Street (at 9th Avenue) from 6:00 to 9:00pm.

Ms. Guzzetta is a graduate of Yale University and is a contributing editor for Gainesville Magazine as well as a regular contributor of arts and entertainment features for the Miami New Times and New Times Broward/Palm Beach. Her writing has appeared in Parenting Magazine, The Pitch, The Houston Press, Cleveland Scene, and South-Florida's Sun-Sentinel. Ms. Guzzetta will travel to New York City from Florida to participate in an audience talk back session with the cast following the staged reading.

The 4: Your Consideration Art Series has gone beyond its small inception to become a force in the presentation of emerging works in New York City,” said Kambri Crews. “We are thrilled to be able to debut powerless in the New York City area and we look forward to presenting more new works by talented writers”.

In addition to the 4:Your Consideration Art Series, Tex in the City continues to spread its mission of merging art with social interaction through such projects as the successful launch of former Texas Governor Ann Richards’ book I’m Not Slowing Down, the cabaret revue entitled Country vs. Rock n’ Roll featuring Andra Mitrovich (Love, Janis) at the Off-Broadway Triad Theatre and promotional events with the producers of Urinetown the Musical, 42nd Street and Urban Cowboy.
