August 12th - Ann Richards Book Launch Party

August 12th, Tex in the City was honored to host the book launch party for
Ann Richards and her newest literary venture entitled "I'm
Not Slowing Down" published by Dutton. The event was held at the upper
westside Jen-Luc restaurant and many were on hand to wish the former Texas
Governor well. The evening was a huge success, most notably mentioned by Ann herself in a speech that provided the crowd with the wit and wisdom that Ann is famous for. On hand were Tina Louise, Janice Combs, Fran Weissler, Maurice Dubois and Alina Cho not ot mention Leslie Farrand from Texas Monthly and Bill and Angela Renfro of Renfro's Salsa. Texas Montly and Renfro's Salsa played a big part in contributing to an overstuffed gift bag of Texas goodies including a signed copy of the book. Stay tuned for more exciting events as Tex in the City continues to achieve its mission of merging art with social interaction. |
